Can-College's English as a Second Language program can help students from around the world strengthen their English skills for both academic and career preparation. Our ESL program provides students with the best opportunity to learn English by interacting with Canadians and Canadian culture in a region that specializes in welcoming international visitors.
Can-College’s English for Academic Preparation (EAP) program offers five levels of English language skill development, welcoming beginner through advanced English proficiencies. The comprehensive language program at Can-College, EAP is designed for secondary school (high school) graduates and English as a Second language (ESL) learners as the program focuses on preparing students for English language post-secondary studies and career advancement.
Can-College’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program offers 5 levels of full-time English instruction. Each level is 2-3 weeks long. The program covers reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar skills.
Successful completion of the advanced level of the EAP program with a 60% average enables you to enter undergraduate programs at Can-College – with no additional proficiency tests needed.
The EAP program is taught at our Vaughan Campus less than an hour from downtown Toronto via public transport. Our campus is ideally located in a prime area that is close to restaurants, shops and affordable residential opportunities if needed.
The EAP program runs from 9am to 5pm daily, with classes on two schedules: the morning schedule is 9am to 1pm and the afternoon schedule is 1pm to 5pm. The School of ESL is unable to accommodate students’ schedule change requests or preferences.
Formats and estimated schedule:
In-Class from Vaughan, Ontario Campus: On-Campus evening classes are offered at all levels, and a daytime option is offered at some levels if enrolment permits.
